They might not think that Logan Paul "represents" all americans. But when people from outside of america think of a "typical american"... Sadly, they tend to think of a type like Logan Paul.

HelpElsaCancer: Have you noticed how americans outwardly display a ridiculous amount of national pride and patriotism, but whenever you ask them about their heritage: most of them basically give you their entire family history and often make a point about telling you of their "French mother" or "german father"? It's like they secretly value their non-american heritage a lot more than their current homeland. It's very peculiar because I've never come across this behaviour from people of other nationalities. If they're german citizens, they just tell you that they're german. If they're Finns, they tell you that they're from Finland. But ask an american and they go: "I'm from america... But on my mothers side i'm part french and part Slovenian, and on my fathers side i'm part Irish and part Norwegian, oh and there's some Cherokee blood in our family too!" If one really takes such great pride in the United States and is such a big patriot, why would you even make a point of or acknowledge any heritage from the outside of the U.S in such a vigourous way that Americans do? Very bizarre behaviour to be honest. And to me, it just seems like they're missing their roots.

LittleLulubee: Wasn't the point of founding the U.S to create a "new" ancestral homeland and make a clean break with the "tyrannical monarchs" of Europe? That tea party thrown in Boston by your founding fathers was a pretty clear indicator of their sentiments towards Europe and Europeans. So naturally us who live in Europe see it as quite strange how you still romanticize over the Europe that your ancestors so desperately tried to get away from. It's like your ancestors behaved like they were jews who had managed to escape the nazi concentration camps. Yet their descendants today sit and take pride in the particular nazi concentration camps they came from and romanticize over them.

LittleLulubee: Judging by your founding fathers opinions of Europe, it might as well had been nazi concentration camps. Thr founding fathers all felt so "oppressed" living in Europe so that they had to flee... But most of them did it with wealth they had acquired in Europe through Europes system of commerce.

"How do ordinary japanese people REALLY FEEL about XXXX" Isn't it kind of silly asking that question to a people who is notoriously dishonest about their true feelings because they've been bred through generations to always give "polite" responses, never rocking the boat and being inhumanly conformist?
