Uh no, I never assumed it to be an awesome job. I assumed it to be a pretty disgusting and degrading job that eats away at the mental health of it's workers and that the job itself sould be discouraged as harshly as possible. I don't feel sad for anyone in the industry. If they expected glamour and wealth for simply being born with genitals and using them in front of a camera, they thought wrong.

@Qtipz123 Nobody in here did. And I for one wouldn't blame someone for wanting to get rich. What I do is to blame people who think they can get rich while not working towards it. And no, having sex in front of a camera does not qualify as work.

@Black.Spades The fact that you can make an income of a hobby does not make it a job. "All those people" you're refering to are a tiny nearly insignificant minority compared the millions of people who do acting as a hobby. Calling acting a "job" is like saying that your average garage band is "working for a living" when they practice for their next dive bar perfomance which will pay them nothing but beer and peanuts. There's a reason why smart parents tell their kids to stay tf out of pursuing "art careers" and going to "acting school". It's because hardly any of the graduates will have the luck and connections to get a paying job where their education will be of any importance. A job is something you can educate yourself for and get. When only a tiny minority of graduates actually get the job they pursued through education, and mostly did so out of luck and knowing the right people, then it's no longer a job. It's just a person being priviliged enough to be able to earn an income through their hobby/passion.

@Black.Spades Acting is a hobby, not a legitimate job. And if your acting skills don't even go beyond pretending to enjoy sex with a random stranger, then don't expect me to feel sorry for you if your "job" didn't make you as rich as you hoped to be.
