Hehe, well you're about to have something much worse than tourists to worry about i'm afraid. The Japanese government has recently jumped aboard the "inclusivity" and "pro-immigration" train, with a program aiming for importing almost 900.000 foreigners to work in Japan each year.

@Capt.Steele Take a look what has happened to Paris in France and Stockholm in Sweden or why not London in England. London is now minority english. Only 37 percent of it's population consist of native englishmen with the rest being foreigners.

@OllamhDrab Again, take a look at the attitudes of foreigners towards the societies in Sweden, France and Britain.

Might I suggest that tourists don't have to avoid touristy areas completely, but instead try to only make smaller visits to these locations? Like you don't have to stay in Tokyo for 3 whole weeks or more when visiting Japan. You could instead find a hotel or hostel further out and maybe have a daytrip or two to Tokyo or Kyoto while using the remainder of your stay exploring the nice spots that are a bit off the beaten path? I think this could help a lot.

@Owjdnskoakansbskk That takes vetting. If you're an immigrant to Japan today, you probably got vetted in some way. The process probably took some time as well. Because there are finite resources in handling the vetting process. Importing almost a million people a year WITH sufficient vetting is going to require a gigantic bureacracy, something I seriously doubt the Japanese government has included in the budget.

@Capt.Steele And they're resorting to the wrong method of solving it. Mass immigration has pretty much destroyed the European countries that advocated for it. Paris in France looks like a warzone. Stockholm in Sweden is a literal warzone with criminal migrants setting off bombs in residential areas where families live and even shoot at eachother outside of kindergartens. This is what Japan is setting itself up for. If Japan wanted to solve it's demographic problems, it ought to take more inspiration from Hungary where the government subsidize families and especially mothers with financial incentives like cheap mortgages and tax cuts.
