  1. The masks never did do a thing to prevent any spread of any virus. The masks did a great job - and evidently, are still doing it in some places - of advertising the message that 'death is all around us waiting to leap from you to me, me to you'. I never wore one throughout, here in UK. Went to the supermarket every week and was challenged only twice with offers of a free mask. A polite 'No thank you' is all I needed to say.
