As with all major cities and towns across Western Civilisation, and any place else that managed to latch on to the habit it brought about: namely, the concept of individual enterprise and self-determination as a means to improve one's lot; New York is on that downward spiral that was set in motion by the lockdowns. A mindset is being flushed out of people and away from their lives. 'The individual is dead - long live the collective' is the unspoken yet repeated sense that can be the only import from what has been and is being done to us by those in positions of power. Right now, where we are at in this process? We're all in still in shock and pain. We're all looking forward to rescue and recovery - the smoke will stop and the repair teams can get thrown in.   13. The scamdemic has pretty much done what it was designed to do: take down the small/medium business sector, with the added bonus of dispiriting the people. Same here in UK. We are being attacked by our own elected governments; now with their various designer variants which are just wind and piss, so stand by for the next reason to lock us all down: the 'climate lockdown'. Total bollocks but the WEF and the IMF and all the Davos clique seem to have their hearts set on it. Best of luck New York.   14. I don't think you are being mean or irrational; I think you have the situation pretty much described as it is. I'm not a fan of cities but the one city I would love to visit is NY - just seems like there is a general attitude of no nonsense pragmatism, and that appeals to me. Looks like it's fat-cutting time for commercial property dealers in NY, at least for a while and until we get over the Corona scam. Wish you all the best, good luck.

The DeBlasios of this world are not going to let any vaccine hinder their project to shut down all small and medium sector business. Such operations are a manifestation of freedom, enterprise - an articulation of the very concept of the sovereign individual; all of which have no place in the totalitarian collectivism that is to be the basis of the society being engineered by our cycle of lockdowns.

  17. Prof' Schwab's prophecy for 2030 which is referred to in the title here, is one which sends a chill up my spine. We all know where all that is coming from and where it ultimately ends. I detest communism and the totalitarian measures which have to be installed to keep it in place. I love the freedom that free-enterprise affords me, even though my own personal success and achievement have not been massive. The chance is there always, for me to better myself. Here though is the weakness right now, and the whole 'new normal' brigade seek to capitalise (!) on it: there are now vast swathes of young people who don't own anything. They don't earn enough to be able to set their sights on owning anything in the future. We have somehow allowed crony capitalism to pose as true capitalism and this has locked too many young people out in the cold. For them, the numbers no longer stack up. When they hear what is for me, that dread premonition of Schwab's, there is for them no fear of loss. If they don't own anything now, then the 'happiness' promised is going to cost them nothing. They will see nothing wrong in going for it. (Yes I know, there is no mention from Schwab of the massive restrictions that will be imposed and the loss of freedom - but they would leave that out wouldn't they?) We, the defenders of capitalism and free-enterprise, need to find a way back to having young people own stuff and be in on things. Or it's a communist future for all.
