That verbal slip he admits to: the reflex reference to 'the Soviets' is understandable and forgivable, but it does point to a very grave problem in the US and UK mindset regarding Russia. Yes I am in that same age range that grew up with the 'Red Threat' continually thrust at us through the media, and perhaps at that time quite justified. But we really do need to slap our collective Western face and move on. Too many just don't seem to be able to do that and this is giving the dreadful MSM narrators a free ride in their drip feeding us the most egregious lies.

Here's one for you: how come the US gets to have the Monroe Doctrine to protect its territory; while Russia is expected to just sit there and watch the missile bases and CIA stations to be sited right up to its border?

How likely do you think it is that they are minimising their own casualties and grossly inflating those of the Russians? This might seem to be a question that can be ignored right now, but the real figures will one day make you look rather silly.

  25. It would be interesting to know the basis on which the Professor makes his claim that the Russians have incurred casualties of 700,000. Also, how has it been revealed to him that the Russians are employing 'meat-grinder' tactics? If we are to learn the truth of what is happening in Ukraine - just as importantly, why it is happening - it is clear that we need to consult sources outside the MSM; as they have shown themselves to be unreliable throughout the conflict. Amid the competing range of biases, very little can be established with any certainty. However, the one statistic that seems to be agreed across the board is that the Russian artillery firing rate has, for most of the period of engagement, been very much in their favour to the tune of something like 8 to 1. Given that the vast majority of casualties in this form of fighting, results from the use of artillery, it follows that for every Russian casualty, there must be around eight Ukrainians. If the Professor's estimation of Russian casualties is taken as accurate, then the Ukrainians must have suffered horrendously, losing over five million troops. This figure is surely too high but how else is one to interpret the Professor's figures?

The authorities close down bars, restaurants and all public gatherings; office workers are all stuck in their homes and guess what: the city is found to be not the bristling experience it once was! How was all of this nonsense not going to end up like this? It's a viral outbreak. Lockdowns do not stop them. The WHO right up until 2020 specifically insisted that it was not the right strategy; and yet here we are: the cities of the west reduced to zombie status by their own governments. Masks do one thing only: they signal to all that 'death is all around and ready to pounce'. In reality, 2020 has seen a death rate per capita that is middling. We have been bombarded daily by MSM figures which have traumatised people. Who would have bothered to know what the daily average death rate in the US is? In fact, some 7,800 people die in the US every day no matter what. Multiply that figure by the number of days since the first US covid death on Feb 29 2020. We have been fooled, scammed and we need now to stand up and get back to work and to play. If you prefer, just carry on wearing the trendy masks and make ready for totalitarian misery.
