  3.  @jquikshot  Also, saying 'if he only did this or that differently he'd be alive' would NEVER get said about the cop. However that kinda reasoning would be infinitely more appropriate to apply to the COP who aggressively entered his home and kicked him awake with a gun AIMED at him the whole time, if the cop had been shot to death. If you don't want people to treat you like an apologist then stop being one.
