@Ganjor420 "That makes no sense. By definition, communism is a "classless" society. While fascism is higly hierarchically with some superior race or faith or nationality or whatever. " Every single political ideology has hierarchies. Some more, some less. They are unavoidable, and that is not what the Left/Right is about. The fundamental differences between left-wing and right-wing ideologies center around the the rights of individuals vs. the power of the collective. Left-wing believes that the society is best served with an expanded role for the collective, for the benefit of all (collectivism). People on the right believe that the best outcome for society is achieved when individual rights and civil liberties are paramount (individualism) and the role — and especially the power — of the government is minimized. Now, why are Communism and Fascism on the same side? Because both are collectivist and socialist ideologies. In fact, they are rivals, just like Bolshevism and Trotskyism were. As created by Mussolini and Giovanni Gentile, Fascism comes from the belief that the "Stateless and Classless society" Communism calls for after its dictatorship cannot achieve Socialism, and that only the State can properly organize a Socialist Society.

1
@CarlMarxPunk Currently there is no Far-Right in France. NR is a centrist party at the moment.
1
@achileus0 "On the other hand, the RN not only is linked with a lot of far right organisation (i'm talking monarchists, neo naz*s, white supremacist and all kinds of reactionnaries)," All of those listed movements are on the Far-Left and have nothing to do with Right wing of any kind.

It's a mixture of Left and Far-Left parties.
1
@keskonriks710 "Just look at the UK and what 14 years of austerity have done to it." Austerity is a natural result, when your national debt runs in billions.
1
@the_pinkerton "they're a mixture of centre left and left wing parties with barely any actually far left politicians" There are at least 175 candidates from the Socialist Party and allies and 50 from the French Communist Party and allies + others, such as NPA–B.

@remyrdd "Des définitions existent et, si, le RN est d'extrême droite." Wrong. RN is still just a centrist party. There is no Far-Right in your country.
1
"The only far left party that was part of the NFP was the New Anticapitalist Party." Every single socialist party is on the Far-Left... and there are many of them in the NFP.
1
"The problem is that typical liberals would rather compromise with fascists than anyone even slightly left of center." The problem is that you have no clue what you are talking about, and have no clue what the words Liberal / Liberalism and Fascism even mean. Pro tip, they are political enemies.
1
