@Caramuel "A large percentage of neo-fascists in Europe - in Slovakia (current prime minister Fico), Poland, Lithuania and Czech rep - are free market fanatics " Then they are the complete opposite of neo-fascism and the party Milei run against, was in fact a neo-fascist party and pro-socialism, just like Fascism itself was.

@Caramuel "Not all fascism was socialist. " Wrong. It was, and there was only one type of Fascism in the first place ... Mussolini's.

@Caramuel : You are welcome. Now please go read some history.

@hanselmansell7555 " largely unregulated free market here in the uk that has now made even very basic accommodation unaffordable." You don't have Laissez-faire economics in the UK. You still have a mixed economy just like 99% of the countries in the world.

Actually Milei is a Libertarian, not anarco-anything as of yet. And we Libertarians are on the far-right. People on the right believe that the best outcome for society is achieved when individual rights and civil liberties are paramount and the role — and especially the power — of the government is minimized. Libertarianism / Minarchism and all the ideologies based on Classical Liberalism are on the far-right side.

"Far right libertarian is an oxymoron. You can be far right or you can be libertarian. You can’t be both." Well not exactly. Libertarianism is literally a far-right ideology. People on the right believe that the best outcome for society is achieved when individual rights and civil liberties are paramount and the role — and especially the power — of the government is minimized. Regarding far-right, it would include Libertarianism, Minarchism and any ideology based on Classical Liberalism.

@TheKrouton "while also requiring a strong central authority to ensure the personal freedom of its constituents." Neither Libertarianism nor Minarchism advocates for the abolishment of police, courts or army.

Libertarianism is on the far-right.

@barryraymond9004 "The far right are socialist too. " No. Socialists and socialism are on the far-left. Including the Nazis.

@Max_Power_ "there are a lot of right wing governments where they increase their power. " There are none. Right wing doesn't work that way.
1
@Max_Power_ "And far-right means authoritarianism and ultra-nationalism" Wrong. It doesn't. That is far-left.
1
@Max_Power_ "So you think that Hitler was far-left?" It's not a matter of thinking. It's about historical facts, and Hitler certainly was a far-left socialist.
1
@Max_Power_ "Also btw, Trump literally increased government spending and increased debt, " Many people in America seem to forget that Trump run as a Moderate candidate and was a Moderate in general.
1
"right wingers generally despise rapid change" That is people who advocate for conservatism, not right wing.

@Caramuel "Hitler's and Mussolini's fascisms were socialisms in name only." Wrong. They were textbook examples of socialism.

@Caramuel : I read books, you don't.
