This can be achieved through decentralized and direct worker-ownership, or through centralized state-ownership/control of the means of production. Just because ma rxists wanted to use socia lism to usher comm unism, doesn't mean it cannot be used for something else or that it would be its only purpose.

In both ideologies, the govern ment controlled the means of production, distribution, exchange and told businesses / industry in general what they were allowed to do on the basis of "com mon good". That is, by definition, so cialis m i.e. collec tive owner ship or control of the means of production.
