  7. The border defense part of the bill isn't a seperate part . It won't work without the funding for more officers ect . The increased attacks on America are a direct result of putin's actions . You don't really think the Houthi and Iran would be attacking American assets or that Hamas would have attacked Israel if they weren't being pushed to do it by putin , do you ? They were convinced that part of the American government ( The Republicans and trump ) are sympathetic to him . The whole point of this border BS is to stop Ukrainian aid and give America something to worry about that isn't putin's invasion .

  8. The US has spent $70-80 billion but most of that value is made up of old weapons sent and replaced by more expensive new weapons ordered from American companies . The EU has sent closer to $90 billion and that's mostly finacial and humanitarian aid so a true $90 billion . Also , you live in a global society now whether you like that or not and putin's actions in Ukraine and around the world have a direct effect on Americans at home and abroad . The putin ordered Houthi attacks on American shipping are forcing American bulk carriers to travel 50% further to bring good to the US and you're going to have to pay more for the things you buy . The Republicans tied the Ukrainian aid to the border to prevent both and use them as talking points but the Biden administration called their bluff and now the Republicans are the one's using it as a political tool .
