Comments by "C Cummings" (@C.CUMM1NGS) on "Ukrainian drone drops bomb into Russian tank open hatch with precision" video.
Since the drone has to be directly above the tank to drop the bomb on it that tank must have a hell of a gun elevation. 🤡😂🤣😂 Sorry i miss understood i thought you meant the flight path of the drone was in direct fire of the tanks turret, not that the turret could hit the drone 🤦♂🤦♂ what an idiot i am 🙄🙄

@anatolemombrun9250 It's the unprotected ammunition in the turret that causes the main explosion that removes the turret, when the bomb dropped inside the turret the explosion ruptured the shell casings igniting the tanks ammunition propellent, causing it to burn the way it did, as the rest of the ammo in the turret heats up it will explode removing the turret.

That's not a mortar it was a drone dropped bomb. And depending on the calibre a mortar is totally capable of taking out a tank, the weakest part of a tank is the top and since mortar bombs are fired up and drop onto their targets a smaller calibre mortar shell can take out a tank.

@ahbtsang Why do you think the drone backed of so fast after the fire started 😜😂🤣😂

If it was darts that would be Bullseye 👍🏼👍🏼

@Xelif9 Yeh i mis understood what they said , i thought they meant the flight path of the drone meant the tank could target them, not that the turret might hit them my bad edited my post 🙄🙄

All the ammo is stored in the turret, it's the chemicals in the shell propellent like the nitroglycerine and nitrocellulose, Sometimes it goes of with a big bang other times it just burns.

@Sean_but_Not_Heard It's the way it's wrote, it looks like they mean the drones flight path puts them in the direct fire line of the turret, as in it's guns, not that the turret may hit them as it fly's of.

@coolbreeze3338 Thanks Honesty is the best policy especially on the internet where you never know who the other person is. I always own up if i make a mistake and leave the original there so people can see my mistake, rather than just deleting it and disappearing from the thread. 👍🏼

@hootowl6354 Nearly all NATO tanks have safe ammo storage because we use manual loading. Russian tanks use auto loaders they do this to cut down on crew size so their tanks can be smaller and faster.

@xi1864 Why they don't want independence the Scottish people were given a referendum and voted to Remain part Great Britain. GB is a free and democratic country they were given the choice to leave and they voted to stay.

@mikex5984 ROFLMAO seriously you have just made yourself a laughing stock. For a start Mortar rounds are called Mortar Bombs. Second a Mortar did not destroy the tank a Drone did, a Mortar did not fire the round therefore a Mortar did not destroy it. Third since a Mortar round is called a Mortar Bomb, the Drone did drop a Bomb on the tank. I would say it's pretty obvious you are the one who is not the expert here, i personally have over 30 years military experience, and grew up in a military family.

Mylinc I did not say anything about the Russians. However Putin is a lying murderous tyrannical dictator who needs to be got rid of.

@prankmanxd9650 Leaving the hatches open does not relieve enough pressure when all the ammo goes up, the turret will still blow of.

@imortaliz Soviet era thinking they were designed for tank on tank battles across the flat lands of western Europe if the cold war ever went hot, and they underestimated NATO weapons the tanks are designed to take hits on the frontal armour in tank on tank battles, that's why they are much smaller than NATO tanks and have autoloaders. NATO weapons were designed to counter Russian tanks they are designed to proximity detonate directly above the turret which is the weakest point. Off course no one could foresee the use of drones dropping bombs into vehicles 😂

@gimigimi1299 Actually it's a mortar bomb, not a shell.

@danquaylesitsspeltpotatoe8307 Depends which gun you use.

@keirfarnum6811 😜🤣😂🤣

@veritasverus1276 No it doesn't matter if the hatch is open or closed when the stored ammunition all goes off the force is to great to be contained even with the hatches open.

@th6tties299 A traditional 122mm HE round won't penetrate the top of a modern MBT turret, because they are designed to be used against infantry and spread the charge out over a wide area, rather than concentrating it on a small point to penetrate armor. However 81mm and 122mm mortars can now also fire Anti Armor rounds, as well as multiple other rounds like Switchblades and Strix all of which can take out an MBT.

@М К Really is that why it had Russian markings ?.
1
@М К You can clearly see it under the gun barrel, at least i can depends what you are watching the video on, I'm watching on my 49" 4k HD monitor. Edit: Also Ukrainian tanks paint blue or yellow or both on the top of their tanks, to be identified by their drone operators, and I'm fairly sure they would have checked the tank first as they had to fly up on it.

@collegestudent6071 Really next to nothing did you watch the video 😂😂shrapnel grenades are designed to injure and kill, this one ruptured and ignited the ammo propellants leading to teh fire that led to teh blast.
