Is the PLA garrison paid for by the locals, or by the central government? Because the British garrison during colonial times was 100% funded by the local government In other words, Hongkies were paying to be colonized

Roy Taylor You are probably correct. I was engaging in a bit of hyperbole, but the point was the British garrison was mostly, if not entirely, paid for by the people of HK

No longer happening right now Aka during British colonial times, not right now I am actually saying that Hong Kong is better off with China than Britain But you are obviously paranoid and too easily offended, finding criticisms of Beijing's administration of HK where there are none It's people like you who give people who speak out for China a bad name
