Because according to the law he literally cannot be Chinese and Canadian at the same time China isn't the only country to forbid dual citizenship

@teresalume7887 Why is it important whether any countries in the west forbid dual citizenship? Are you somehow saying that the west is the standard bearer that everyone else has to follow? But to answer your question, Austria does not allow dual citizenship

Actually, there's no such thing as a Chinese (華人） race either In China, 漢族 is the recognized ethnic group, there is no such thing as 華人

@wheresmyeyebrow1608 Try leaving whatever rock you are living underneath of China isn't the only country to forbid it's people from having more than one citizenship All it takes is like 30 seconds to Google it and you would have been educated on the subject

@andro7862 That's not what the others are saying though The others are saying that 華人 is their ethnicity, and I'm pointing out that there is no such thing recognized in China In China, they refer to their culture as either 中國文化 or 漢族文化 or even 中原文化. There's no such thing as 華人文化. The closest thing is probably 中華文化, but there's still no such thing as 華人 or 華人文化 in China
