  1. Yep, had a “died while driving” condition a long time ago in a galaxy far away. Was driving from Stephenville, TX back home from a trip when I ran over a bump and a loose nut came off the starter motor (or solenoid) and it cut power completely when the wire jostled loose. ‘83 model Pontiac Firebird. Fortunately, not much traffic and I coasted to the side of the road, and a cop showed up, and called a tow truck for me. Shop diagnosed the problem and replaced the nut. Total charge: $6. I was relieved it wasn’t something major! Whew! 😌
