@hallabalooza No, actually Science bans the use of explanations and only permits descriptions. Religion attempts to formulate ideas as explanations but tends to avoid descriptions. Science is how you "quantize" (measure) things. Metaphysics / Philosophy / Religion is how you attempt to understand what you measure with Science. With Science you are prohibited from seeking knowledge as it is considered too abstract.

@maisondusuave Because to be "Christian" is to deal with abstract concepts. To be a "Scientist" is to measure things in the physical world. They are like Cause and Effect.

They are like Cause and Effect and Metaphysics and Physics. Christian is of the Father and Science of the Son.

Cause and Effect. Christian and Science.

@Bulgeofpersuasion Christianity has the "Father and Son" metaphor to teach "Cause and Effect". Scientists live in a world where things "just happen" and in this mindless randomness they will search for math formulas to define what splatter they see played out in the physical world. The very idea that there is a defined, yet abstract, Cause which comes before is simply not to the liking of the Scientist. That's like "Spooky Action At A Distance" which was an area where Einstein clearly knew his fragile construct was wrong and he rejected one clear bit of evidence to avoid dealing with his failure. When a Scientist has Cognitive Dissonance and cannot resolve some "error" they will invent magical unknowns and "virtual entities" to get through the mental pain. You might say that the Scientist is now a sort of "Autistic" persona... not fully connected to reality in it's full complexity and subtlety.

@Bulgeofpersuasion Think of the story... a guy speaks the Truth and is innocent, but both the political system and an angry mob choose to silence his Free Speech and crucify him.

@hallabalooza Think of Satan Claus... um... Santa Claus. What is that about? One of the core ideas is that Jesus is telling the Truth and is innocent, but his "Evil Twin" is this deceiver guy. So the first lesson for children is to present this very lovable deception which is Santa Claus. When the child realizes he was deceived and that Santa Claus is as Fake as the Fake News MSM he begins to grow as a christian. Ultimately the goal "should" be (as a christian) to develop the capacity of "discernment" which is the ability to spot deceivers next to you. We begin as innocent sheep but must become like the snake and spot the deceivers all about us.

@hallabalooza God is Dog spelled backwards. Satan is Santa. See? It's a teaching tool. You are supposed to figure that out to successfully have discernment. Here's a better metaphor: Self Defense To truly be initiated into the highest levels of the Snake religion would be like MMA. To be a beginner would be like formally training in boxing and essentially be a christian. To be a pagan is like street fighting or a scientist due to the limitations allowed in scientific abstractions. ------------- Who is the best fighter?

@maisondusuave Go back and look at Logical Positivism. It was upon that ideological foundation that Science became dependent on mathematics to create "descriptions devoid of understanding." As a result we have the very real fact that if you apply the equations of the "Measurement Physics" or "Quantum Physics" to the larger scales such as the galaxies you will find: AN ERROR OF 95% Now think about that... Quantum Physics is off by 95% at the larger scales and yet people have faith it is correct. Is it pragmatic? Yes, absolutely. Since we lack a real theory and mental model for reality the math of Quantum Physics really helps in a lot of situations, but it isn't the Truth because Truth must ALWAYS be true. A theory that is wrong by 95% is simply a math that works in one place, but not in another... but not a deeper Truth.

BTIsaac An Atheist takes extreme pride in not knowing about the topic. Very rarely will you get the Luciferian Atheist who simply wants to wreck things. (two differing motivations)

BTIsaac And you should definitely look up Gobekli Tepe. That is a 12,000 year old archeological discovery which proves the "Old World Order" of myth existed and that symbolic representation of ideas were already in place. So in reality the "Tree of Life" metaphor came before these pagan religions which were "lost tribes" cut off because after the last Ice Age the oceans rose 330 feet. (fact... look that up too) What myth calls the "Great Flood" was really just the rapid sea level rise. Anyway... check out Gobekli Tepe your jaw will drop wide open !!!
