@bemusedpanda8875 "They had all the time in the world to implement nuclear energy." Implementing nuclear energy is currently illegal in Australia. Before they could do it, they'd have to change the law. Which of course they could in theory do, but maybe not so easy in practice, and not so easy politically. But with the current power problems, and with recent polls now showing that voters are more willing to consider it, it make sense that it might be now worth pursuing.
