  1. "Tax dollars given to private companies..." Sounds like a better option than tax dollars going to the government to build them. "...whilst the tax payers suffer from poverty." Yes, but that's from other causes, such as spending a lot of taxpayer money on unreliable and supposedly-free energy.

How many smaller companies would be capable of fulfilling an order for, say, 75 new tanks? However, yes, I tend to agree with you about governments having particular companies that they favour over others for no good reason.

  7. We were disposing of these tanks anyway, as we're getting new ones. And this could help our security. If the West helps Ukraine win, the evil countries may hesitate more about trying to take over others.
