  2.  @jenniferharrison8915  If the Dutch were here first, they wouldn't have found anyone! Yes, the Dutch visited before the British, and found others already here. Who they found would be interesting, but even if they identified them as Indonesian, I'd wonder what that identification was based on. Thanks for the response, but part of my point is that we really don't know much about who was here first, despite all the claims.

If you need me to spell it out, perhaps (ignoring other Europeans), it might have been like this: Option 1 First: Unknown. Second: Aborigines. Third: British. But the claim is that the order is this: Option 2 First: Aborigines. Second: British. What makes that second option correct and not the first option?
