Or perhaps they are just copycats? "Hey, that sounds good. I'll use that myself!" Or someone feeds them the line, as you suggest.

"...the USA is a constitutional Republic not a democracy" Nonsense. Yes, it's a constitutional republic, but it's also a democracy. The two are not mutually exclusive. True, it's not a true/pure/direct democracy; instead it's a representative democracy, but a democracy nonetheless.

@txflydude "The USA is a Constitutional Republic and it is NOT also a democracy." Simply asserting it does not make it so. You haven't explained why it's not. "Our constitutional republic is a democratic form of government but it is NOT a democracy. There is a difference." So what is that difference? Unless you explain that, your comment actually supports that it IS a democracy—being a democratic form of government surely means that it IS a democracy! Also, have a look at the article Republic Countries 2024, by the World Population Review. It explains different forms of government, and says, among other things, that "Like many other nations, the U.S. is considered a hybrid government and is simultaneously a constitutional republic, a representative democracy, and a democratic republic."

@robertonavarro7713 "According to Aristotle, democracy last for 250 years only. America is 248 years old. Time’s almost up." 😄 Of course what Aristotle knew as democracy was a different form to what countries (including America) have today.
