"...to revoke a constitutional right for the first time in history..." Umm, no, it's no the first time that the court has reversed one of its decisions. And as the draft pointed out, the original decision was essentially baseless, as the constitution says nothing about the right to an abortion.

"It's sad to day, that after 50 years of women having the right to choose..." To kill their baby. What's sad about that ending?
4
"Simple! Don't Want An Abortion? DON'T GET ONE!" Some seem to want it. They celebrate it. They boast about it.
2
"Barbara is correct ..." Not on her apparent support for the killing of babies.
1
An intelligent black woman who seems to think that it's okay to kill babies. How is that moral?
1
"Holds sign saying 'my body my choice' yet demands people get the stab..." That's not just an inconsistency or hypocrisy. With the vaccine, it is your body. With abortion, it's not their body. It's the baby's body.

Despite what happens in America often setting a precedent for what happens in other countries? Why?

@bobhawke7373 "What about this guy right here? Anyone?" I rarely call anyone a Commie. But whether he's a commie, a troll, or something else, he's definitely wrong.

"It will be the decision of each state which is what it should be." I don't agree that it should be. While the constitution says nothing about the right to abortion, it does say that people have a right to life. From the 5th Amendment: "No person shall ... be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law...". I think the court should, on that basis, declare abortion unconstitutional.
1
@bobhawke7373 "It was." Well, the court declared it to be. Doesn't make it so. "It was a constitutional right under the 14th amendment." Which made no mention of abortion. The 5th amendment, however, does give people a right to life. And the draft decision agrees that the 14th amendment can't justify it. "Shows how easily it would be to change the 2nd amendment." Not really, although it might depend on what sort of change would be involved. The 2nd amendment grants a right. The 14th amendment actually opposes abortion: "nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law;"

@bobhawke7373 "A fetus ..." This is not a medical forum. Why are you using a medical term? Do dehumanise the baby? "...isn't a person." Huh? Collins dictionary: "A person is an individual human being." So the baby qualifies as a person. "The 14th protects the mother's liberty." But not the baby's? Why is that? And how does the 5th not protect the baby? The draft report rejects your claim. It says that the 14th amendment does not support abortion.

@bobhawke7373 "5 Insane people who think they have imaginary friends ..." I don't believe any of them think that they have imaginary friends. "In fact. They are only appointed to those positions because they would make this decision." What's your evidence for that? "They lied about their position in confirmation hearings. They all said they would protect roe v Wade before being confirmed. " I don't believe that they did. Candidates rarely comment on cases that they are likely to face. "Unwanted children are going to skyrocket..." Meanwhile, the number of people who want to adopt but who can't because of not enough children will dramatically drop. "...and deaths of the pregnant will skyrocket." Nonsense. Being pregnant does not kill you. Meanwhile, death of babies will plummet. That's a good thing. "This law won't last." It's not a law. It's a decision by the Supreme Court to allow states to make their own laws. "Polls show that only 13% of Americans are pro life." That would depend on how you ask the polling question. "Do you favour killing unborn babies or protecting them?" would, I'm sure, yield a very different result.
1
@bobhawke7373 "In his Barbara Walters interview..." When was that? "All 3 said Roe v Wade should be protected." So you claimed. Repeating your claim is not evidence. "All this law is going to do..." What law? There is no new law here. '...is make sure poor women are jamming coat hangers up their snatches..." A patently false claim. If you put traffic lights in at an intersection, would it be fair to say that "all the lights will do is make sure that people continue through against the red light"? Of course not. Most will obey the law. " there will be double the impoverished and unwanted children. " Already answered. Not answered is how killing them is a better solution. "This will create massive societal problems." Abortion is already a massive societal problem. "Republicans are only pro life until you are born,..." As opposed to Democrats who are not even pro life before you're born? You're still avoiding the issue that you're defending the deliberate killing of an innocent human being.
1
"false report, its not striking it down." It's striking down the Roe vs. Wade decision that stopped states making it illegal. "very few states outlaw abortions outright." They can't. But when this decision becomes official, hopefully that will change. "so abortions arent as necessary as they were 25 yrs ago." They were never necessary.
1
@pepperm3466 "I didn't say abortions were necessary." You said that they are not "as necessary as they were 25 yrs ago", which indicates that you thought they were often necessary then. "...I suppose you want to argue with me about that..." Given that you bring it up, life begins at conception, so the morning after pill kills a human life also. "...to prove your religious point?" What do you mean by "religious"? The word has a range of meanings, which at its broadest can include atheism as a basic worldview, and much more narrowly can exclude Christianity as it's not a system of rites and rituals. I'd rather say that my point is based on evidence and design. "There are more alternatives to abortions now. And no I do not want any replies from you thank you." Well that's tough, because you've got one. And it's arrogant to think that you can comment but I shouldn't. Are you not open to other views, or is your mind closed in that you're not willing to consider the merits of alternative views and counter-arguments?
1
@Diponty "It don't. You have to be born to have rights." It doesn't say that. On the other hand, it does say "No person shall... be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law;"

@GragoryBell89 "...every other developed nation still has health care except the US." So the one without taxpayer-funded health care is also arguably the most developed. And arguably has the best health care. Is there a point there that you might be missing?
1
@GragoryBell89 "the US has not been the most developed nations for decades." That would depend on how you measure such a subjective thing. And I did say "arguably". "Climb out of your bubble." You haven't shown that I'm in one, nor that you are not.
1
@GragoryBell89 "you think the US has the best health care system in the world" I didn't say that. First, I said "arguably". Second, I said the best health care, not the best health care system. "...and is the most developed country." I've already answered that. "The US has like the highest infant mortality rate in the developed world. That doesn't sound very developed to me." Well, no, but then is that due to health care or to racially-promoted poor societal situations?
1
@amunago080 "Also more importantly no where in the constitution guarantees a right to kill a baby." Yes, I said that. "Nor should the court create laws out of thin air." True. That's the job of the government, not the court.
