@leojmullins "Atheism is a religion?" Atheism is a category or type of religions, just as theism, polytheism, pantheism, etc. are types of religion. The modern Western atheist Secular Humanism originally declared itself to be a secular religion, although atheists these days try and pretend that atheist views are not religions, because they don't believe in God. But then neither does Scientology, Confucianism, and other religions that don't believe in God.

No, most scientists adopt methodological naturalism which says that you reject supernatural explanations even where the evidence supports a supernatural explanation. That is, God is ruled out a priori.

That's quite a caricature of what people think. "...the track record of the Catholic schools is appalling, I wouldn't trust them to teach a dog new tricks!" Evidence please.

"...just enter on YouTube "residential schools" you'll learn all about the murder, the genocide, the rape, the starvation and all the rest!" First, you're now moving the goal post from "Catholic schools" to "residential schools". They are not the same thing, although there is some overlap. Second, Those videos talk about schools in Canada, whereas the context here is Australia, and only a portion of those Canadian schools were run by the Catholic church (or any churches). So you're focussing on one aspect of residential schools in Canada, and are generalising that to all Catholics schools, Canadian or not, and residential or not, and ignoring the good they the schools as a whole do.

"... they knew exactly what they were doing, certainly at the higher levels where it counts the most, they knew all about this and didn't want to stop it,..." That and the rest of your rant, is all vague, evidence-free accusations.

I pointed out that you were over-generalising, so your justification for over-generalising is to continue to over-generalise! Claim dismissed as baseless. "...a Nazi didn't have to wonder what was going on in another concentration camp in the next country, similar things to be expected of course,..." Because what was going on in the camps was what was designed to go on in the camps. Schools are designed to teach, not abuse, so, unlike the campls, the abuse is not inherent to their purpose. So that's a false analogy.

@welcomeaboard69 "Us rational people believe in provable facts, not mysticism." Christians believe in facts, not mysticism. Meanwhile, atheists (typically) reject the principle of cause and effect when it comes to the origin of things like the universe, which, according to them, burst into something from absolutely nothing—zero, nada. And as it got bigger, it became filled with even more stuff that came from absolutely nowhere. That's the stuff of miracles, but without even a miracle worker.
