Depends on who, if it were the USA there would be more of a split, but if it were china there wouldn't be as much.

@incurableromantic4006 Explain how Israel has a better claim than the Palestinians to the land they're on today? Palestinians, or Philistines, or Peleset have been in Canaan at least as long as Israeli's and they've never been kicked out, they have changed religion (at least 3 times), but they haven't moved.

@ateampossible I mean, did the Polish people not exist when they were under Tzarist occupation? The Palestinians were using the Ottoman Lira. Do we not consider the Franks to have continuously inhabited france since the end of Western Rome? Historically speaking, a Jewish population in the land of Israel hasn't been a majority since the Roman times. Only since 1948 have there been pockets of Jewish majority/controlled land.

@ateampossible The people of Palestine still identified as palestinian, the Ottoman Empire contained multiple ethnicities. Definitionally, empires are not mono-ethnic. The Palestinian people have been there since ~3,500ybp. It doesn't matter what currency they were using. If you suddenly had to use a different currency, would you feel your claim to your home has changed?

IDK about that, Iran is gaining momentum no matter how much we try to kneecap them. Once they have nukes, and a total invasion is off the table, what else is there to do when they control militias from Syria and Lebanon to their border, and also in Yemen with a successful and growing domestic defense industry? Are we going to help the Saudi's keep founding Wahabist groups who come after US troops, or do we cut our losses in that godforsaken sandbox and refocus to SE asia to secure semiconductor supplies and more effectively encircle China with fewer theaters of operation, Latin America which is falling under Chinese influence and Eastern Europe where Putin is encroaching with a likely end goal of reconnecting Leningrad? IDK, seems pretty obvious to me. We're wanted in Asia and Europe, they're equally strategically important, and south america is more strategically important. Not claiming migrants are cartel, not at all. But the cartels and especially their chinese associates are not welcome and that will decidedly become strategically important if it isn't already.
