  1. Do you think rich people buy bugatti's because they're the most practical car ever, or do you think it's a luxury item they don't care about losing money on? Why would this reasoning not apply to houses, if you had a billion dollars?

  2. They are not intentionally causing climate change. It is ridiculously expensive and resource intensive to modify a single storm system, let alone THE GLOBAL ATMOSPHERE, it would take more than all the energy we use to control the atmosphere. They use weather manipulation (not climate manipulation) to protect safe haven cities and military installations, by either diffusing the storms engine, or routing the storm around the city. This requires satellite information to understand the storm, planes to seed the clouds with an agent that the ground stations react with (which requires INSANE amounts of energy). They can't do that on a global scale, or even effect the jetstream.

  3. You mean the same conditions that created humans from monkeys and the same climate that enabled humans to spread across every continent on the planet? I can imagine global cooling, and it doesn't seem that bad.
