  2. I think part of the trickle is not getting congress to authorise greater amounts of funding early. It takes time to spin up production and without placing the orders the investments can't be made as few companies take on that kind of risk. Basic short-sightedness. The Abrahams issue was mostly Germany's doing. There is only so much money, by making US send Abrahams it took away from things US could only provide. There are plenty of Leopards, but EU can't make GIMLARS or have tons of Bradley which have been far more useful than Abrahams or GPICM or air defence missiles in bulk. Had US 60 billion a year over the last two years, we would have more than 50 Abrahams. Which generation of Abrahams doesn't matter too much since ODS Bradley's have proven themselves and the threat isn't tank on tank.
