I highly, highly recommend watching Adam Conover's interview with Rashid Khalidi, a Palestinian historian. Dude is rather collected. Great insight to how we got here, why this continues, dispels Israeli talking points, problems Palestinians have to solve among themselves. He doesn't have a solution or a preference, he does spell out the prerequisites. Maybe you should interview him, combining your insider perspective and his historical insights.

If they told me it was raining outside, I would check before believing them. Whatever claimed 'Ratio' cannot be trusted. Even they have given up on their own civilian casualty assessments, often citing Hamas or are wildly inconsistent between spokespeople. Diplomacy did work, the fighting stopped, getting 100+ hostages back. Israelis got only one back since and trigger-happy with another two. It's a bit rich of them to claim they aren't committing genocide because they aren't doing it exactly like it was done to them, which is the grossest thing they could do to the memory of the holocaust. West Bank is interrelated slow grind. Germany's response is just wacky. US 24 hour news media is Taco Bell. Written articles from the channel on the same story are far better. US news is usually very behind on changing sentiment. Most of the world have either turned on Israel, the UN GA vote was pretty telling or moved to a fence sitting position, like Canada, UK. Ukraine supported Israel during the first week before realising this is radioactive, have no parallels, abstaining from UN vote and going silent, as did most pro-Ukraine YouTubers.
