Too early to declare, my dear friend. Mayoral elections would've been more focused on local issues such as housing, education prices etc. where the Moon government has miserably failed and hence they deserved this defeat. However, when it comes to the national interest, the focus of people may shift; it's politics, anything can happen here. Remember the sudden disapproval of Park Geun-Hye after the corruption scandals?
Furthermore, calling Moon Jae-In an NK/Chinaphile is very immature, as all conservative presidents have made South Korea so much dependent on the US that it has lost its significance on the international stage. Today, whenever South Korea has to comment on international issues, it always looks that it doesn't make the US angry. So, is calling conservatives a US slave justified? No, it's just a conflict of ideologies. Some Koreans think that they have had enough bitterness with NK and now it's time to solve conflicts while some of them still have trust issues with NK believing that bolstering a US-ROK alliance would outweigh any influence of the US on South Korea in order to promote national security and prevent themselves from nuclear threats. So, it'd be better if you learn to be a bit more respectable.

@davekorus Oh really? I didn't knew that in South Korea, the results in a major city influences the whole province. In my country, it doesn't happen. The rural and urban areas often vote differently.
And no, NK developed nuclear weapons due to threats from the US and because their big brother Soviet Union had gone, and China just wants to make North Korea its satellite state, NK did this. We often immediately disregard those countries who develop nuclear weapons, but we never look upon the opportunist policy of the US.
Countries like Iran and NK had ideological differences with the US which led to their conflict. The US condemns it for the sake of international peace, which they themselves destroyed in the Middle East and Afghanistan. Now, tell me, when a country feels threatened by the US, what other option are they left with except developing nuclear weapons to make their voices heard? Iran and NK must have seen Saddam Hussain of Iraq and Muammar Gaddafi of Libya negotiating with the US, only to be later killed by the US. This is what leads to this mistrust.

@davekorus 🤦🏽♂️ Who's saying to support the North? Why would anyone support a country that has the worst human rights in the world? You say that the war isn't over yet, but why it isn't over yet? Because both the sides have never even tried. Whenever South Korea wanted to independently negotiate with the North, the US came to meddle in between, which provoked North Korea and again we're back to the same fight.
"South Korea apologized for the Vietnam War" You didn't get my point. I said that every country has had some or the other crisis. North Korea doesn't owe you an apology for developing nuclear weapons. They did it for their own national security.
And if you want to know why I'm so rigid at this, my own nation, India conducted nuclear tests, because China had been supplying nuclear facilities to Pakistan constantly, but the US had turned a blind eye to it. Why? Because Pakistan was USA's ally at that time! After the tests, a series of heated discussions, threats, and finally sanctions were put in place. Still, the US had to come to the negotiating table. Why? Because despite the sanctions, Indian economy kept growing steadily, because unlike North Korea, we were not completely dependent on the Soviet Union for everything. Later, Pakistan itself backstabbed the US by giving shelter to terrorists like Osama bin Laden, because terrorists are used and funded by the Pakistani military (another complicated topic) to create insurgency in Indian Kashmir. And now the US endures India? Why? Because the US knows that China and India would overtake them in terms of GDP till 2050, so the US wants to use India as a way to counter China. Hypocrisy at its best.
What I wanted to make you understand through all this is that stop fighting with your own brothers due to the hatred that was instilled by foreigners long ago. We've one Earth on which we've to live, think of humanity, not of some alliances and wars.
