  2. The FED buying treasuries off of banks at face values is nothing, they will just hold to maturity and the treasury pays it off so no big deal. It just prevents the banks from being forced to sell the treasury on the open market and take losses so it's really a nothing burger. It's the mother of nothing burgers.
