  1. I suggest everybody read Murray Shanahan's paper "Talking about Large Language Models" at least once. Seriously. That would preclude a lot of confusion. (TLDR: "AI (so-called) knows all about text, doesn't know anything about the world")

  2. It's normal that "AI" (so-called) can solve traffic-image captchas because those are the (text,image) on which "AI" has been trained. Film at 11. We are not heading towards "Skynet" in any way, shape or form. We are however heading towards at least a war with China because for some reason USA thinks Taiwan is its territory and dying Empires always lash out one last time before rolling over.
