They seem to be quite customer-hostile indeed.

Most wholesome take on the Internet

@RalfPinkaire-f7w No personal attacks please. Here we go: > JS is a tool that does a job... A tool that's developed over decades. It's callled "polishing the turd". Frankly JS has always been a long-running practical joke, a testament to the Eternal Greenhorn of IT. Imagine it's the late 90s, and you actually develop a non-statically typed language (i.e. you leave out the part that has been shown to be the important one) with prototyping (an idea that only sounds good at first sight) because you really don't know whatcha doing, iit' the Internet Bubble, but you want to get it out of the door quickly and you just want 4-5 lines of active processing in webpages in any case. Well, okay, why not. Later you brag about having "written the language in an afternoon" which is an indictment in itself, but still ... okay. And then people think it can be used for major functionality. To run code on your machine. Code that comes from *anywhere*. And then later another guy comes along who thinks "this can be used on the server". And who seriously believes threads are "slow", and decides to add callback hell (called "asynchronous programming" to make C-levels listen) Mr. Smith: It was a disaster. No one would accept the program. Entire crops were lost

I would rather hear about "DragonAge: The Veilguard"'s failure of commerical success due to its woke level being so high that it had breast removal scars in the character designer and was basically a long lecture about how hard it is to be nonbinary.
