I lead the first progressive committee that was recognized by the Dems in WA state, we took their memberships from 200 to 500 in 3 months, I chaired a meeting every Fri at Dem HQ, we were fought the whole way, we than ran a slate of local progressives and won a super majority of their central committee, we thought we took them over😅 in the next 3 months they changed the locks, gaslight us and even physically assaulted our elected chair, after that there was a mass exodus of the progressives. Since they have held there own re-election illegally violating their own bylaws putting who they wanted in chairs, We now know we were ordered to be taken out by our state dems and LD rep Derek Kilmer this was in 2016-2017, I finally after a year and a half went to one of their meetings last week, only 4 progressives showed up, this is a county that voted 73% for Bernie. I believe everything he says, I watched it happen in every county around me. Progressives will never take over a party owned by the corporate elite, I know, I cause I tried!
