  7. These videos need to be played all over the US. I’m American and I’m a veteran. The machine that runs my country is framing China as the next big enemy. I’ve seen war and it’s horrible. If the regular people see each other as we are then perhaps we can avoid war in the long term. It’s so heart breaking. China, America, Russia… everyone… you’re regular people are pretty much the same and we can all get along.

  31. As a Brazilian who lived in Russia before, I have this wisdom to share: You can’t let the grumpy faces fool you, Russians have the biggest hearts. Specially migrant workers, I was never as well treated anywhere in the world as I was by uzbek, tajik and Kyrgyz brothers in Russia. They usually just don’t smile much at first as I believe in Russia smiling for “no reason” is considered foolish xD

  39. Happy New Year Yan...Since I discovered your channel a few months ago, I have been following your adventures as you blogged your way from Europe to China. I am an 80 year old Chinese man born in Kuala Lumpur but have been living in Australia for the past 40 years. Your demeanor, laid back style and no frills commentaries are compelling and addictive. I have , in particular loved your series on Malaysia.....very accurate and really nostalgic for me.... particularly with the images of food (really missed the food) and life style. I also lived in China for a year in 1980 as a pioneer teacher of English in the Dalian Inst. of Foreign Languages in Dalian, Liaoning Province. I loved China and have kept going back throughout the years.....just so proud of what the country has achieved over the past 40 years. You are a very pleasant and impressionable young lady and I wish you all the best❤👍in your future ventures !!!! All the best !!!

One of my biggest regret while we were living in China for 5 years was not being adventurous enough to visit the smaller cities… ive always imagined smaller towns to be more culturally interesting and people friendlier.   45. I lived in China for 10 years as a university teacher. I spent a year teaching in Yunnan, in Dali Ancient Town, a historical area on wonderful Erhu lake. But you took me to some parts of Yunnan I never heard of. I especially enjoyed your time in Mile city in this series. A a lot of my neighbors were Mi and Bai people. Overtime I started to understand their heavily accented Mandarin. Thank you for focusing on the little out-of-the-way places which are not famous, but are delightful, not crowded with tourists.🙏
