This interview basically helps me to understand and getting a fuller picture, filling in the gaps why some asian countries without lockdown (Singapore, S Korea, Taiwan, Hk) are doing much better at flattening the curve vs those European & USA cities/countries that have selective or partial lockdown are still doing it badly. One of the main things pointed out is also "east asian culture" that allows invasion of privacy if the intention is for a common good vs the West individualism which would not allow app tracking done in the aforementioned asian countries.Also masks are more commonly used in East Asia but viewed with suspicions in the West. Mask helps esp for thsi virus because anyone is a possible asymptomatic carrier of the virus. I feel this video should be shown to all the european countries and USA there to give them a sense of what they can still do that's within their limits of comfort or what they are still lacking despite a lockdown. Eg. I see a lot people in USA/Europe should not wearing mask when they are with people in close proximity. This interview still has applicable use to Taiwan, HK, Singapore etc but most of what is said has already been done to different extent. Coincidentally, facing these east asian countries now all at the same time is a 2nd wave - imported cases from returnees. Good gracious...just when you thought u can heave sigh of relief, come a 2nd wave.....and it's difficult to say to keep them out, because they are the local residents or citizens, not short term tourists.
