You aren’t a pure sociologist. You aren’t a pure psycho-evolutionary biologist. You’re just a guy on YouTube saying what you think which is based on a broad and deep historical background. You’re unafraid of being wrong and as such are more honest and amicable. I consider you an artist. A historical and philosophical artist of sorts. Regardless, never stop.   11. I appreciate what you have done here. I first learned of your channel with the civil war analysis. For the last 35 years I have watched the political right imprisoned from being able to construct it's beliefs. Today I see a new right. It is vast and has many races and cultures aligning with it now. It is a foundation of conservative ideals with elements of family and justice at it's core.

  17. You're ever insightful. Rudy please please do a video on Spiral Dynamics and how that applies to cycles in history. Because it lines up almost perfectly. Tho it annoys me that humans/society develop to a certain predictable point and then it's downhill.... I know infinite growth doesn't exist despite capitalists wishing it did but I wonder if we could get a government to form above stage orange. I would really like your take on it! ❤ great video. I've been thinking lately how people will view past events in the current context and i think that's one of the main problems in studying history.

Its funny - I actually tried recommending to a leftist to view your videos, and he just flat out refused to even see it, because "The fool is a college dropout and has no degree, therefore his speculations are irrelevant, plus he ignores everything after 1960. Besides, I have a degree, therefore I'm automatically superior to him." Followed by the usual canard of "far-right extremist" which I found bizarre. I could only think "You're just proving his assessment right." Excellent analysis. Also, really loving your Common Ground initiative. Its an absolute joy to listen to.

  19. One thing to consider is the liberal capture of the military under democrat administrations. For example, commanding officers being relieved of command not for incompetency but for a racial or sexual accusation, a conservative social media post, being involved in a bar fight etc. At the same time diversity quotas are heavily applied to initial officer selection and officer promotion, with the most prestigious command positions being earmarked for diverse candidates. This effectively pushes out any Alpha types in favor of those who may be incompetent but meet a diversity quota or are quiet acquiescent fly under-the-radar bureaucratic types. A Genral Patton or Mattis would have never made it in the current military.

  22. Gotta agree with your take on women under 25. My last 2 relationships failed horribly because one was just too jealous and whatnot and the other one was physically abusive towards me. I think many women out there want complete control, that's what I noticed. But finding dates and women isn't that difficult. Finding a good one however is.

Even better, imagine trying to study the world as a microorganism, like a probiotic, inside of a person living in St.Augustine, Florida, in Spring of 1996. George Gilder has spoken of the single failure of communism being their assumption that social and technological progress reached its pinnacle at the moment of their inception, and all managerial decisions of the state will forever be static-based on that initial point in time. Failing to recognize that chaos and creativity have the determinant effect on society, and only a government that can evolve, ebb, and flow freely with such chaotic creativity can succeed. You will likely bristle at this, but having watched several years of your work now, you are definitely evolving towards a definitive philosophy of life, as the study of history does for most of us. So many lessons about our current world and the deliberate socializations and propaganda plaguing us can be traced to this failed religion and the pathetic souls who buy into it, support it, and push it, from all walks of life, from all over the world. As in 1930s China, it is a tiny fraction of the very most radical who have finagled their way into positions of influence who drive this lunacy. We must resist! Videos like this are some of our best tools to awaken people to the enemy within. Great job!

  38. I absolutely agree with your take on high schools and the push for extracurriculars. Everyone I knew in high school were completely happy being involved in classes + homework + extracurriculars they barely cared about for almost all of their waking hours. My mom was shocked to hear that after a year of marching band I wanted to stop being involved with it, and I got kicked out of her house for a day or two when I wanted to simply spend my after school time watching videos and just generally pondering history and science. We are trying to literally push every single high schooler into spending every waking our in some sort of organized, institutional activity. These programs are great, but ONLY if you would be involved with them regardless of what colleges want. Keeping young people this busy is contributing to their insanity because they have no time to sit and ponder the world they are in during the most critical formative years of being a teenager.

I'll admit, I was REALLY put off by the short you posted a few weeks ago talking about the "Abrahamic Roots of Communism," where the comments were just taken over by anti-semites, but hearing you explain the broader context in this video helped a lot. And I think you've convinced me about communism. I didn't have a strong opinion on it one way or the other, but understanding the emotional context for communism cleared a lot of things up. Thanks for the video.

I believe modernism and its Christian roots came from there. Also, the fun idea that a FOURTH Assyrian civilization existed in the shadows of Rome and Parthia until Byzantine and Sassanid religious absolutism destroyed it. Julian the Apostate was a BIG fan of the intellectual progress Assyria was making. Essentially, I'd compare Assyrian "Neo-Platonism" (bad label for it, but that's how it's categorized) to the Scottish Common Sense school. The Scottish Enlightenment. It was all about categorizing ideas, phenomena, etc. and then taking them as received and working with the relationships between them. Anti-rationalist, pro-empirical, anti-idealist, pro-tradition.

I'm 20, own and maintain my own property, strive to build a better life for myself, my friends, and my future children, and it's just so difficult finding people motivated to do better. I work 55 hour weeks at times and when I'm not working at my job I'm working at home; and I save all the money I can for things that are important. I see so many little inefficiencies in life. CHANGE YOUR LIGHTBULBS PEOPLE! This isn't 1990, 60 watt bulbs are absolutely terrible for your bill! If your lightbulbs are ~9 watt LEDs, make sure your grandparents change their bulbs too. But I digress, I guess the only way we can try to mitigate the current status quo is to change ourselves... Change your lightbulbs.

  50. I don't understand how you can possibly compare the average American today to Victorian era workers. Victorian's made low wages and saved money for their children and the future. Today households making 100k+ live paycheck to paycheck because they blow their money on leasing BMWs and door dashing every night. I think the average American eats better, has a much bigger house, goes on more vacations and enjoys a much better life than any person throughout history. The world is hard now but I would argue the high inflation rates of the last 50 years compared to the gold standard prior to Brenton woods combined with the low interest rates has incentivised people to save money in illiquid funds or to just spend the money now. The big problem is that saving for many young people requires a time horizon which is actively discouraged by our government.
