I had no idea that the breakdown was faked for an exam and that the guards were instructed to behave a certain way. I was taught about this experiment in three different schools, one being UCLA psychology

  31. Good "shocker video" and I have started using it in group therapy for addicts. However, it deals very superficially with cognitive bias and science. This is most unfortunate as these are our only out. Many statements are made for shock value to sell product (career) as the documentary ironically describes being done by others. So much so that I wondered if the video wasn't parody but I do not believe it is, at least not in its entirety. IMHO everyone should know how to read and interpret a scientific article. Everyone should know how to identify expertise. If you need a brain aneurysm removed you wouldn't go to a welding shop because "it is all lies", you would go to a neurosurgeon. There is tremendous lack of understanding of how science works, often based in cognitive bias.
