I'm a british asian mum of two born in the uk and i also want our country back!
My parents worked 12 hour shifts in factories from when we were born to when they retired, they paid their taxes, never took a day off, didn't get to see us much, helped others when they could, scrimped and saved, paid their mortgage off and had money to get me and my brothers on the property ladder.
We're getting crushed financially and socially on all fronts, our rights to have a say on anything is out the window.
We're oppressed, not being listened to, lied too, our money isn't being spent where it should be, we've become a third world nation and afraid to say anything and to anyone and have billions in debt, no generation will be able to afford to pay. Our british values are disappearing from every street corner to every shop and every school and every business.
Where's the time we all looked out for one another gone?
i want our old England back, when times where joyful, people were proud and happy, families were together and supporting each other and our communities, we were all helping our elderly without second thought, when our school system was happy and bright and well funded, our NHS was great and all who worked in it actually cared.
I'm proud of this country and what it once stood for, change happens when you make it happen.
