  3. In memory of Elisabeth “ Betsie” Ten Boom, prisoner number 66729, resident of Baracks 28. She was the elder sister of Corrie Ten Boom. Betsie died in Ravensbruck 12-16-1944. Her sister, Corrie was also with her at Ravensbruck. She was released due to a clerical error. After her release, all women her age were sent to the gas chambers.

Back in the 1970s I worked with a German colleague who had been imprisoned in the Gulag system from 1945 through 1953, I lent him the book "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisonovich" by Alexander Solzhenitsyn, when he returned the book his comment was " Every word in that book is true".   15. I was so happy to find this documentary. When I was a student at the University of North Dakota in the 80’s, I actually wrote a paper about Lebensborns. I did a lot of research about them at the time. This is really the first time since then that I’ve ever come across any information about the Lebensborns. At the time I did my research I wasn’t able to find any information about what happened to any of the children born in these places, so I just learned a lot more by watching this documentary. I was very impressed that a member of ABBA was born in a Lebensborn. Thanks so much for the creators of this documentary.

I sat and watched this with a bad tooth ache. At the end of this video I realized that when the end came I had not one time thought or felt my tooth ache.

  45. I’m not so sure that the commentary between the facts is correct. Jackie was a brilliant woman, I’m sure JFK did share events with her and she surely had some comments to make. She was the perfect First Lady for JFK and for the country. She was held in high esteem wherever she went. Her knowledge of languages, her understanding of history, her education and social elitism brought the office of the presidency to a level of sophistication that has never been repeated or even close to it. She was aware of the dynamics of heads of states and their wives in all social situations. Don’t belittle this powerful woman. God bless them all. ❤
