  27. Its easy to see how becoming a member of the SS was so desirable. I became aware of the evils perpetrated by them when I was 9 years old in 1955. My best friends father had served in the US Army in WWII. He had a box of souvenirs stored in the attic. The children were told never to touch if. One day my friend snuck a photo album out. When we opened the album we were horrified by its contents. His father was among those that liberated Dachau . The photos were far worse rhan any I have ever saw in any documentry. Here i am 77 years old I still remember those photos. My friend put the album back in its place. We never once talked about it.

  34. One of my grandfather’s brothers volunteer in the French army and died at the battle of Verdun .Another brother volunteer in the Greek army and my grandfather with another brother serve in the British army .Four Greek Cypriot brothers did the right thing ,to fight for Liberty and Justice .
