God, you always hope someone can be rehabilitated and change to lead a moral life. Otherwise, what's the point of incarceration other than punishment and removal from society?
But I have severe doubts about Billy's ability to do this. The first problem is that you can't believe his words. Why? Because he is a pathological liar. All his talk of violating trust and making amends is exactly what someone says when they are trying to make parole as early as possible. Billy reminds me of many I met during a month-long stint in rehab. I heard the same earnest appeals about how they would change and had learned their lesson - often from those who had been in rehab six times before. I could picture how they gave the exact same speeches in their previous six times in rehab.
Therefore, we can only go by Billy's actions, and those invariably show his true self: deceitful and transgressive. He was put in solitary confinement for having contraband in the form of a USB device. He was put in solitary again for doing this podcast. I assume it was some violation of time limits or of permissible content in prison phone calls. Well, those are violations of trust, too. Even as an inmate, Billy can't help but violate the restrictions placed on him. He feels he is special, not subject to the rules that moral people are bound by.
He talks about just wanting to reflect and learn from his errors. Yet he reveals how he is still hustling in his new environment of prison. A class about musical entrepreneurship? My goodness, he doesn't know anything about that! All - every one - of his ventures were based on fraud and self-aggrandizement. Writing two books and planning a podcast while still in prison? There's no learning or self-reflection, only the next grift.
I would bet my life Billy either lied about writing letters to his victims, or if he did that they were completely self-serving and as insincere as his words on this podcast. When he gets out and if he ever makes significant money, I would also bet he'll do his utmost to ensure it is funneled to family or offshored so that he won't have to pay anything back.
Again, I really hope my analysis is incorrect. But if you discount Billy's words, which are worth as much as one of his nonexistent concert tickets, his actions do not bode well.

First off, I will say this,..... anyone that hears the interviewer tell his age, but had no idea of what the content would be, would say, this “kid” has no business being the same room with NDT, much less interviewing him... but I must say!!!! This has got to be one of THE BEST interviews I have seen recently with NDT! This interviewer smartly did his research, smartly used his research during the interview, and then shut up and listened to the answers that spun off into other interesting discussion that veered off into other great conversation! Not to mention, the humor that was kind of comic relief of such heavy topics! In this interview, you would think the interviewer is at least in his 50’s or 60’s! There are people out there that ruin interviews because they try to appear smarter than the guy they are interviewing! Completely ruins it! This is such a well done perfectly executed interview with a great interviewer and a great guest! The part I hated the most about this interview was when the interview ended! Well done! Perfectly done!

As a former Frogman, I will tell you: Jocko is an absolute beast, freak of nature. But his short sleeping is NOT super human. He sleeps that way because he is broken, like me. When you've been too close to an explosive breach (for too often), your body is affected (never mind being exploded by the enemy). That, plus the firefighter-style "reactive" schedule (Hey, wake up, bro. I know you're asleep, but it's time to work). When that happens often enough, for enough years, your ability to fall and/or remain asleep is severely degraded. Every operator I know struggles to get good sleep.

What an amazing interview with a wise, humble, kind and very smart man. I love the message on his shirt "trust, respect, love". I love his story, words, and the work he does, so unique and important❤ Animals are amazing, specially dogs and they are so loyal and protect you and care deeply, most times they seat with us in our pain when we are sad, I am always amazed by their capacity for empathy🥰.
One funny fact, I realized my dog is not good reference for choosing people, he likes everyone, super friendly, not a good helper in that regard😄.

Thank you, Jordan: really enjoy your channel for many reasons. Great guests & material, sharing their triumph over such difficult circumstances💔😢 especially child abuse. . .
Over the years some have tried recruiting me into their MLM's (yes, most are cults, too), or self-righteous churches (some are great people but study the pastor/leader first. . .fish rot from the head down) and/or cults, and my strong discernment makes it easy to say "No, thanks anyway, wish you well" (meanwhile, hoping & 🙏 they're set free). Mind-control is their end game and surviving it, very difficult but kudos to all here & working to be set free completely!!💗🙏💗

Much of the General Spalding interview doesn’t make sense. Just last year a Chinese general admitted that the Chinese military is weaker than the Russian military. Much of the Chinese military consists of cheap knockoffs of Russian weapons and their soldiers have no recent battle experience. It failed in its war against much smaller Vietnam in 1979 (it got scared and withdrew before taking Hanoi when it saw what it was facing). China has been licking its wounds ever since. Failed because Chinese minorities were evicted from the north of Vietnam and Vietnam kept control of Cambodia, which more-or-less is what the war started over. It’s complicated.
And the Taiwanese military is an order of magnitude stronger than Ukraine’s military. It has all modern weapons, long range missiles that can hit Beijing, and an air force of F-35 fighters. It is an island which makes invasion near impossible. Japan and the UK were never invaded for this same reason. The U.S. navy will sink any Chinese naval vessels that attempt to blockade Taiwan. It’s not like China’s few nuclear weapons will scare the U.S. away from taking action.
At the very least China would face a boondoggle like Russia is facing with Ukraine but more likely it will be stopped and pushed back to the mainland in short order with far fewer ships, planes and soldiers. Also China is more vulnerable to sanctions than Russia. The world does not need anything China produces unlike Russia’s energy, food and mineral wealth that entail major hardship for the world to do without (though not impossible). China brings labor to the table and there’s no shortage of this commodity from many other countries (India, Indonesia, Philippines, Mexico, etc.). In fact, the labor shift is already happening.

I respect your interviewing skills, definitely have a knack for it, or practiced the Hell out of it, I'm also glad I stumbled across your Channel on my news feed. I think the whole Mafia genre is suddenly really popular all over social media, especially YouTube, it even found it's way back to the Television with Sammy Gravano who has a successful YouTube channel. I found channels that were so cheesy and stereotypical, looked like someone right out of central casting, Hollywood's version on what a Mafioso should look like. I had to stop the interview 1 hr. And 12 minutes into it, just to comment on your channel for the very first time.... Good interview, credibility of this guy, not so sure of, everyone he mentioned or any particular area or place is all public knowledge, these little cell phones that occupy a majority of a lot of people's free time is pretty badass, maybe that's why they were first introduced to the C.I.A. issued out, and it was designed to be a tool... Anyways not calling this guy out as an imposter, who knows maybe he really was allowed to be a free agent in Mafia ran Neighborhood's and be allowed to have a lucrative Shylocking Hustle, when he's not with any family as an associate, that wouldn't be allowed to happen, just my opinion.

What a fascinating individual. His life story could easily be made into a dramatized series. From LA gangbanger, to enforcer, bodygaurd, pimp, 100+ porn director and producer, musician, martial artist, body builder, potential murderer, brothel owner, organizer of swing parties, drug dealer, prisoner, pimp, poet.. oh, and he's a best selling author. 1 of his books is used by law enforcement for human trafficking. He's a black man with a Russian name (His mother was a Black Panther and his father a child soldier from U.S.S.R via Mali). To add the cherry on top, he's an occultist, and possibly a Freemason.
Guns, sex, violence, redemption and success. Someone ought to write out a couple of episodes and approach the streaming networks. Each service would have the added pressure, that if they don't jump at the opportunity, then their competitor might; and, if Mickeys story is put together sufficiently, it be absolutely be a hit show (exclusive to the only one service that seized the moment, took the initiative, and beat the others to the punch). And, what a terrific name for a lead character, and series... "Mickey Royal". Extraordinary!

All of these law enforcement "lie detector techniques" are pure pseudoscience, and this even includes their coveted polygraph machines.
None of it proves a thing, as every single person acts differently when subjected to it all, and there can therefore be no such thing as "standard results". A rather large percentage of guilty people can look you dead in the eye and tell you a bold faced lie with the grace and ease of an award winning actor reciting a scene from Hamlet. An equal percent of innocent ones might panic and act stupid, and might even confess to something they didn't do just to make it all stop. Of course the cops don't care. They'll take any confession they can get to close a case.
This is precisely why none of it is even admissible in court. It is only useful to law enforcement as a scare tactic, to try and convince a suspect - any suspect, guilty or not - that they failed, and therefore it is only a matter of time before they are arrested and sent to prison. A Cop can also use a "failing grade" as a cruel and unusual but legal and highly effective form of punishment for someone they highly suspect, but just don't have anything solid with which they can make an arrest. This works by shattering any form of peaceful existence for the person, and it lasts forever, or until a true perp is arrested and successfully prosecuted. In that particular regard, all of this nonsense does work great.
Cops can sometimes use an innocent but gullible person's willingness participate it all to convince them that, because they "failed", they are going to be found guilty in court anyway, and scare them into confessing so they can bargain for less time. Though the shocked suspect knows they didn't even do it, when in the hands of interrogation "experts" with seemingly magical powers to convict them anyway, fear, panic and grief might get the better of them. Believe it or not, this is not as uncommon as you think. About half of all convicts who have been proven innocent by DNA since it came into use and subsequently had their verdicts overturned, had actually made a false confession, and often for this very reason!
Of course cops do know all of this, but a confession is a confession, and cases are being closed. So why would they end a practice in which they hold all the cards, even if a few are falsely convicted and imprisoned because of it? They wouldn't. Therefore, a smart person who values his or her freedom will NEVER let themselves be subjected to any of this crap under any circumstance, especially if they know they are innocent.
Counting blinks ...my eye!

Excellent piece, but then I think Jordan only does excellence. The quality of his preparation for these interviews is all-too evident, and he has a great skill in being able to bring out the best from his interviewees. Johann's passion is admirable, and I agree with what he says. We're truly in a race to win back our children's minds. I look at my ten year old granddaughter, and she seems to be so empty and vacuous. It's almost impossible to engage her attention in anything, and, even if you do, her mind has jumped to something else in the blink of an eye. Yes, she does pay attention when you place a cellphone, or tablet in her hands, but she seems to do so in a very robotic kind of way, without any real emotion being involved. Is this how we want this generation to grow up? Passive people, with scant attention spans, strike me as being easily controllable people, and perhaps that is what those who would rule over us want. I am with Johann: it's time to do something about this while we still can.
