I WORK AT THE PLANT where these trucks are built. We build the F-350, F-450, F-550, and F-600 chassis cab trucks, the E-Series cut-a-way vans, and the F-650 and F-750 chassis cab trucks in Avon Lake, Ohio. I work in Skilled Trades, keeping the tooling, equipment, and tools working, repaired, preventive maintenance, and redesign and improve the tools and tooling. It is something to see these trucks get built. If you ask the Plant Manager, he might even arrange for a tour, with your YouTube channel being what it is.

So this ain't the end, I saw you again, today
I had to turn my heart away
Smiled like the sun, kisses for everyone
And tales, it never fails
You lying so low in the weeds
I bet you gonna ambush me
You'd have me down, down, down on my knees
Now wouldn't you, BARRACUDA? Oh
Back over time we were all trying for free
You met the porpoise and me
No right, no wrong you're selling a song, a name
Whisper game
If the real thing don't do the trick
You better make up something quick
You gonna burn, burn, burn, burn, burn to the wick
OOOOO, BARRACUDA, oh yeah
"Sell me, sell you" the porpoise said
Dive down deep to save my head
You, I think you got the blues too
All that night and all the next
Swam without looking back
Made for the western pools, silly, silly fools
If the real thing don't do the trick, no
You better make up something quick
You gonna burn, burn, burn, burn, burn it to the wick
OOOO, BARRA-BARRACUDA!

@Donut i was looking at a NICE looking Toyota matrix with my buddy and we drove in seattle rush hour traffic to check it out. It had super low miles compared to anything else in my price range and looked REALLY nice in the pictures so we got really excited. The profile pic on Facebook marketplace was a kind looking older man, so the idea of a lightly used car he needed to get off his hands was awesome. Eventually we got to the parking lot in Seattle and we saw the car drive up. Out stepped a guy who looked nothing like the picture. The car looked really good except for a few red flags- the windshield had a massive crack that didnt show in the pictures, the breaks LOOKED new and nice until we got close and saw how cheap they really were, and once we got really close to the body we saw it was really dinged up, especially on the left side, but it looked like it was repainted with some of the damage lightly (and cheaply) buffed out. He made it VERY CLEAR there was no bondo on this matrix and how EVERY matrix was hiding bondo and how we were getting such a fantastic deal. Little things were also obvious lies like the maintenance records being incomplete even though the guy kept telling us they were completely up to date and the car was a manual, not an automatic, which is important to me because i commute in heavy traffic up a huge hill every day and other drivers are not super courteous. We immediately decided to walk after all those red flags. We coincidentally followed the guy while we were leaving, and while it wasnt a huge dealership, he literally drove down the street right into a big dealership and instead of parking the cars out with the others on the lot, he pulled behind into the dark, shady looking shop that was mostly hidden from view. Bullet dodged im sure.

"Designers knew what they were doing, and unless you REALLY know what you're doing any modifying will make it worse" "The environment matters because we don't want to poison everyone, make smog, and cause acid rain." Two truths you'll rarely hear from car guys. These guys make amazing videos while being knowledgeable, down-to-earth, and wise. Not the usual "Get rid of your cat to get +15hp, bro!" This makes me a hypocrite though as I drive a '73 VW Bug with terrible emissions (no cat obviously, they didn't put them on back then) and I've modified the crap out of it, including electronic fuel injection. I've had thoughts of, once I get that fuel injection system working well and actually tuned right, maybe after putting a turbo on it, trying to incorporate a catalytic converter into the exhaust, just to see if I could do it and make it work right. Would be a crowded exhaust system, having turbo, cat, and muffler all packed in under the back end of the car as the engine is in the back. Don't have the money or fabrication skills to do something like that ... yet...

I can explain the Phase 4 head - Where the US had "Stage 1/2/3" mods, Australians tended to use "Phase" instead, because some Australian car companies tended to use "Phase" in their performance marketing and naming, like the famous Ford Falcon GTHO Phase 3 and Phase 4(Of which, only four were built, and only one was sold production). A Phase 4 Head, in that era of Australian parlance, would be a heavily modded, practically bespoke part built purely for performance with no compromises. Like, the kind of shit you'd put on something built from the ground up for racing, like a V8 Supercar.

I'm from Colombia and I bougth an LS engine here in a junk yard. I usted in a project for a C-10 that usted to be a farm truck, from dyno, It made 275 hp, when I put it, I made a little adjustems to the timming, new headers, then wooww, that thing did 340 hp, easy win, I'm not done with this project but with all that coronavirus thing, I had to slow down and invest my money in priorities, but when this crap finally end, I'll finish this once and for all.

I’ve got an 86 and raced it in a circuit series in Australia. Great car, wildly tough, incredibly reliable engine with oil sump baffle and cooler. Gearbox is very weak, 4th gear goes all the time, the rear suspension geometry doesn’t allow much squat (to help is slide more easily). The chassis (not suspension, the actual monocoque chassis) is massively stiff. Now have one as a road car. I absolutely love it. Also, I think that I’d call the rear suspension multilink, it’s got an upper A arm, two lower control are and toe link. Lots of little things you can do easily but it’s no S chassis when it comes to modification.
The s chassis is a better car, in my opinion, if you want to pour yourself into it. In Australia we were lucky like you mentioned, SR20DET as standard, for a few bucks you get yourself a bleed valve in the boost reference line and that’s the end of your life as you knew it. Everything on an s-chassis is like that, it’s just better and easier to get massive gains. You always find yourself wanting more and you keep spending but you get so much back from the car when you put effort in. And here the pricing is almost reversed, s14s regularly for for more than 86s, s15s I think all go for more than 86s.
For me I’m a bit lazy, I was to beat the living shit out of my car and not have to worry about a little tweak here, a litttle fix there. That’s an 86. My cousin can’t help himself. He’s had a string of other people’s disaster s chassis and given them a new life as road registered drift beauties.

I bought a 1966 Thunderbird as my first car a couple years ago. It had never been restored, and although it ran and drove, it needed some work, including a full engine rebuild. Luckily, I was in automotive class, had a family friend who was a mechanic, and several people knew guys in the area with the expertise to do the things I couldn't, such as rebuilding cylinder heads. I didn't know the first thing about engine rebuilding before owning this car, but reaching out to people who did meant that through owning this car I gained a useful skill. What you need to do if you don't know how to fix something is find someone who does, and ask them to show you. I'm sure there are plenty of old guys in your area who probably know how to fix that old Hemi. You just need to go to some classic car shows and befriend those guys, and I'm sure they'll be happy to share their knowledge, and perhaps even a helping hand! Also find a forum dedicated to cars like this, and you can get some advice there. But really, just because you don't know how to fix something doesn't mean you shouldn't try it, it just means you need to learn how. Everybody has to start somewhere. Don't give up on that Chrysler yet, use it as a learning experience!

A lot of this was true in 2005. Not so much anymore, just a lot of this is what has lingered on the internet and become outdated, exaggerated misinformation that people love to regurgitate.
Bounced cheques aren't as harshly treated anymore and you can agree terms with your bank or renegotiate your repayments. But as i I said, a lot of this was true from around 2005-2008 when the recession hit, people fled the country due to taking out up-to millions of dirhams on loans and couldn't pay them back and so left their cars, houses, possessions etc etc.
You can go onto EmiratesAuction to buy some of these cars; most of them wrecks or police impound from street racing, illegal driving or maxed out black points on registered owners driving license. Not all of them, in fact very few these days are 'abandoned'
The police cars are not ex abandoned cars.
31,000aed is less than $10,000.
Just to clear some things up
