  4. My wife and I are far from traditional, but we've discussed money early in our relationship. She brought in student loans, where I had none. I knew that going in and agreed to tackle that together. We paid off her student loans together and are debt free aside from our mortgage. The way we share finances is we keep a certain amount of each paycheck to a personal account ($150/paycheck since we're paid on the same schedule) and the rest goes into a joint account to pay for the budget we've agreed on. I primarily do the finances and report back to my wife on the monthly reports (essentially). I don't question what she buys with her personal money and she doesn't question my personal expenses. We discuss larger joint purchases and how it will affect both of us (cars, trips, etc.). We also have a dedicated travel fund.

Second thought was: "You guys provide such incredible financial literacy to an immensely wide audience at zero cost to them. You are doing so much more for lower income people everywhere than low fees ever could. You are providing such immense value through your YouTube channel -- raise your fees for your real clients so you can continue to raise the floor for the rest of us!"

  12. What I don't like about tipping is that it is a way for businesses to hide the true cost of the services being offered. If I go to a restaurant and order a meal listed as $12 then I have to pay an additional 7% for taxes and an additional 20% 4 tip more than a quarter of the cost is hidden and not listed upfront. What it really is is a way of making the service feel cheaper then it actually will be, untill you pay.

  17. I am 23 and a truck driver (local) only took three months to get my CDL and I started off at 60k per year. *With no debt too* Trade schools are pretty sweet. I wish Teachers/Counselors would talk more about them instead of thinking that a kid only has two options, 4yr degree or Military.

  22. Haitian living in Haiti here... I truly want to say that we aren't what we are portrayed to be, a country the international community poured billions on and who never got better. Believe me when I say we never saw that money. We heard about it on CNN like you did. I am a well educated physician. When charities like the Red Cross are providing free care, I can't compete with that, neither can local farmers when free food is being provided. The right way to help is not by destroying the local economy and creating an even more dependent nation. Because the nation I'm caring for can't afford my services and runs to free care provided by charities, most of my colleagues are getting licensed to practice in other countries, including the United States. Haiti is loosing the Healthcare professionals she so desperately needs, after spending to educate them. We speak several languages and are highly skilled. We just want an opportunity to stay home, work home and be able to feed our family in the process. Help is asphyxiating us. Help is destroying us. If you want to help, enlist local physician and pay them to provide care. Don't bring in American physicians who can't even communicate with the patient, can't obtain informed consent, do not keep any files and aren't there for follow-ups. Lol, I could write a book. I love love love your channel ❤️. Been a follower for some time.

  45. Thanks for the tip! Hmmm my 2cents would be don't shop exclusively by brand label. I have a family member who swears brand labels are superior in quality and taste. Yet many of the more expensive brand labels have the same ingredients as the store label brand. You can be paying more for the nicer packaging. I'll take a not so nicely designed package if it means more savings and equal ingredients. Go brandless! :)
