Great upload! I'm old and a nature nut, but never realized New Zealand lacked terrestrial mammals. Can't wait to use that bit of trivia, 😂

Xenarthrans are a very cool group!

Big fan of the channel. However, more constructive criticism: speak more slowly, loudly, and enunciate more... especially when you say species names, its good to pause and really enunciate the name. It just adds to a more pleasing and professional sounding video. As well as variation in the tone of your speech, so that it doesn't sound so monotone and robotic. Also, a good mic makes a big difference too. I hope to see this channel get big, good luck. Also, one last thing... Newfoundland is pronounced "Newfund-land" not "NewFOUNDland".

Idk why, but today under shower i was like: where did the penguins come from and why do they live in antartica?

Great stuff. I was most disappointed when I first learned that the Komodo dragon was venomous. I was working on a horror story in which people were killed and became zombies, because of a mysterious infectious organism or several such organisms in the dragon's mouth. An idea left over from when they believed it was toxic shock that killed their prey, including humans. the Komodo dragon is a remarkable animal but I can imagine Australians are just as glad that megalania and its kind are no longer around. :)

Love your videos! I hope you will expand on the topic of ecological change throughout Mezozoic. Like most people know about big extinction events, but almost no one knows how much of an impact the evolution of flowering plants brought.
