They admitted that ultimately they return to work primarily because they feel certain emptiness after spending the last 10 years doing nothing but work just to save aggressively and then find out they feel completely miserable despite having so much free time. It ultimately comes down to balance in your life - have some work, some play - so sorta a hybrid style of FIRE where you do work hard for a time to get financially set to a point where you can ease off the gas rather than completely stop, and then spend more time in family/recreational/other aspects of life while also still working to maintain the lifestyle.

The world is an amazing, wonderful, beautiful place that can also be scary, harsh, transient, and unfair. What you focus on is what you enable. I hope that YouTuber realizes their potential for positive change is infinite during the finite time they have left. The best time to change was yesterday. The second best time is today. Thanks for the video... It might just be the catalyst for positive change that someone needed.
