  31. This is so sad. Even more so because I'm from Bulgaria and our "feud" with North Macedonia is insanely similar. It's an entirely separate problem, but now I understand the Russian perspective. Wow. So sad that greedy and power-hungry politicians always have to divide us. In Bulgaria, I watched news about a man in Macedonia having been beaten up for identifying as a Bulgarian. When I went to Skopje, I was afraid something like that might happen to me, but no, quite the opposite. Even though I didn't speak their dialect, many people gave me directions, a store owner even asked me if I was Bulgarian and when I said "yes", he smiled like it warmed his heart. Divide and rule, as they say. I hope one day our peoples start communicating without intermediaries.
