  5. Huge pinball nut here. I own several and I'm ranked almost in the top 1000 in the world. I always wondered why a live catch worked. Thanks to your video, now I have reason to believe it's the rubber separating from the flipper bat! wow! I had no idea! Thank you for making this video!

  6. I have a 1080p monitor and watched a drop at all the resolutions. I am amazed at how much the bitrate helps. 1080p is noticeably much worse than 1440p and that is noticeably worse than 4k and 8K was better than 4k. Bitrate has a huge role in the watching experience. so if you have a 1080p monitor still watch at a higher resolution.

  11. Never seen such floppy flipper rubbers--thanks for catching that! Dual-action flippers (and buttons) allow good players to trap a ball on one flipper while flipping the upper flipper as needed during multiball.

  23. At a place where I worked early on my career we needed a fast movie camera and ended up buying one with a maximum speed of 1700 frames per second. It had other speeds, but this 1700/s was something that it reached just by the end of the film, having accelerated during the entire filming time.. And how did IT MANAGE TO AVOID BLUR? It used an octagon mirror (or possibly a prism?) that followed the film. The next segment started the next frame just when the previous one was at its end of its frame. To aid in analysis, there were some time marks flashed to the edge of the film at speed independent (real time) rate. Also, the film was over-exposed at the beginning. But somehow it produced useful information. It revealed that our millisecond "synchronized" movement at the ends of a 5" diameter steel shaft were actually not well synchronized and the shaft was suffering torsional vibrations due to a tiny mismatch of the triggers between the two hydraulic cylinders, one at each end. Oh well...As a side note, we found that hydraulic oils had their own issues. A mineral oil viscosity increased at temperatures below the freezing point and trying silicone oil was not good, because it was too compressible. Water would have been incompressible, but of course had even more drastic increase of "viscosity" at the freezing point.
