You guys weave the personalities & characters so well with the broader strokes - one cannot help but visualise the overweight Kowalski, feel a kin ship with the do gooding casement & a deep sense of loathing for Leopold. Whilst simultaneously one can absorb the wider ideological, sociological background of the day. Its really expert work by two historians who are a credit to their field. Thanks again Gents 🫡🙂

Ever since I was 20 a backpacker from Sydney, stood on Place de La Concorde, reading about its terrible history, I’ve wanted to know how they slid into the period of the Terrors. And this series is dissecting it in delicious and horrible detail. Thank you!

I’ve been binge listening to these awesome chaps for weeks now after discovering them on Spotify and still so many to listen to - it’s been amazing - then I discovered they were on here after the US election live stream (which I loooved - Dominic’s insight was fascinating) and I’m watching the videos every time they drop here now 👌 so funny, so well informed and it’s just so educational and insightful about so many wonderfully diverse topics across so much of history. It does not surprise me that this is the 2nd top podcast after only Joe Rogan (!) 😳 incredible and you should be very proud chaps 🥳 very proud you’re brits 🇬🇧 🎉
