  13. This is wonderful. Growing up female, I NEVER. N-E-V-E-R heard ANYONE say it was ok to “just” be a housewife. I make sure to tell my daughters it’s an absolutely valid choice and the one that will probably make them the most happy. It’s nice to hear more people say this too.

Honest discourse is like MMA competitions in the theater of ideas. Truth rises to the top. That kind of education benefits us all.   20. I’d also recommend keeping your children away from toxic family members. My mother was radically left in her political beliefs and undermined my parenting and moral values as a young mother constantly. I didn’t know better then, but of course hind sight is 20/20. I now see her influence as detrimental during his formative years.

  21. The job situation in the US actually is somewhat of a zero sum game. Why? Licensure hellscape. Civil Engineering, teaching, Nursing, MD's, police, firemen, plumbing, etc....all licensure jobs and many positions that are filled mostly by governments. Get rid of licensure to fix it...also limit patents to five years max since you're at it.

A couple thoughts... * The key advantage of private (and most charter) schools is that they can send disruptive students and bad teachers away * The key weakness of public schools, besides the above, is that they can't discipline the kids * Basing all salary/promotion on time-in-service is a recipe for mediocracy at best

A couple of weeks ago, one of the usual suspects told me sea level has risen 9 feet in the last ten years. 70 years ago (I'm old), I lived on the Gulf Coast in a house that was about twenty feet above sea level. Google Earth says that house is still about twenty feet above sea level. It hasn't moved. Years ago, Glacier National Park had signs saying the glaciers were shrinking at a rate that they could all be gone in 20 years. The signs are gone. The glaciers aren't.

  25. I applaud you for making this video! I cannot watch it all because I’m in a very good mood this morning. However, I believe it is time to get rid of influencers, reality TV, and and teach these barbarian children at a very young age, how to talk on the phone, how to look people in the eye, and how to respect their elders. We need to stop referring to people as boomers as it’s disrespectful. I can go on and on, but I am sick and tired of the behavior of primarily anyone under the age of 30 and I’m not a boomer. ❤

  27. I teach in a high school (physics and art). I've had colleagues tell me I should "dial back" my lessons on Christian Art from the Byzantine because it "isn't inclusive." We have been told we can't celebrate Christmas and shouldn't say "Merry Christmas" because it isn't inclusive. Admin has asked that I focus more on "international art" (whatever that means) than the great art of Europe. Our board is changing the curriculum to implement this as well. All of this is outrageous on so many levels but this mess with the Olympics just reminds me of how entrenched this anti-Christian, anti-European sentiment is. I will admit, I am not a religious person; however, I find it hard to look at the values in Christianity and the art that developed from it, the messages contained within, and the cultures that flourished from those values - and the art that enshrined them - and think there's something that should be suppressed in that. It blows my mind how willing our nations are to sit back and let this happen - and honestly, that's probably why Christianity is such a target. Other religious groups promote their religion and defend it with a fervent zeal that intimidates the "brave activists" into attacking the Lamb. It's disgusting. Our culture offers so much but we're afraid to embrace it, afraid to promote it, afraid to stand up for it. I won't stop teaching the history of Christian art until they drag me out of the classroom, and I'll use this example of the Olympics to demonstrate the difference between true Art and the kitsch made by pathetic losers trying to attack an institution they clearly don't understand.

  30. I have a chemical engineering degree, and masters in micro and nano technology, and basically finished my PhD, I have applied for about 200 jobs, and gotten nothing. I dont believe in DEI, I dont complain about my personal life, I am basically begging for any form of employment, I have a good strong work ethic, healthy, and multidisciplinary education. Yes some people are bad workers, but even good workers struggle to find jobs that fit them, the job market in western countries is saturated with workers due to immigration, technology has helped eliminate other jobs. Employer's often "fish" for employees throwing back many while falsely saturating the job offer space. And the baby boomers are working long into retirement instead of retiring, because they screwed up the economy and are poor now.

  45. When lost boys are allowed to go feral. Society in the past has provided the displine of what is acceptable and rewarded and what is not. This was done by teachers and neighbors then employers and colleagues. One learned the boundaries of the group. What is why some say "they will learn when they have to have a job" well schools and jobs are different. Kids are taught that, they don't have to and their view is right or to be fought for. They rewarded with attention and self righteous as institutional erudites has placed themselves on pedestals. As Ego is the new God and those with good intentions have already finished the road. The institutional cities are occupied and there is another chapter yet to be read of the future.

Omg, I love it when you say something someone disagrees with, they accuse you of being paid off by whatever boogeyman they’ve tagged for the offense, AND they don’t even tell you how you’re wrong. Just that you are. Meanwhile, they never (and I DO mean never) put their politicians or media personalities under this kind of scrutiny. They don’t accuse THEM of getting paid off.
