  7. A fantastic road just not long enough. Car is amazing dynamically and looks better in a dark colour but I just can't get over that grill. Fantastic review by Steve as always.

  10. Finally some real driving skill and very good driving feedback from one of the best in the industry. The GR Yaris is special, but so is the Type R. And out of these 4 cars, that is the car I would want to own.

  21. Yay! More Steve 🙂 even if it is in a hyper fast bus. The sad thing is, in watching Mr Sutcliffe's superb reviews, it does feel like a final lap of honour as manufacturers fire out their apex combustion engined finery. A simply unimaginable hole will be left soon, when we stop talking about engine characteristics and transmission quality and are left with the metrics of performance, times around a track etc to light our fires. These are videos to savour and cherish.

  30. That’s a nice way to cement the legacy of this car in automotive circles. I’ve only driven S2’s but most of the sentiment would apply. Driving an Elise/Exige is a revelation to anyone who has never felt a truly light and communicative car.

  33. It really does ruin modern cars. I agree 100% with this. I have an Elise S2 111R (they never sold S1s here and importation seems difficult so I bought an S2). It is just so much fun to drive! So involving and so agile. I have literally 0 desire to ever replace it with another sports car. Great review!

  45. Great review Steve. Love Steve’s style/delivery. I’d take the AMG. Audi, to me, is just a rebadged VW. Always has been, always will be. I’m just not a fan of Audi’s bland/boring design/style. You can even see it when you compare the Q5 to its sister the Macan! As a matter of fact, the Audi RS looks like a smaller Q5. No bueno. The only negative/drawback with AMG is the monumental depreciation. Ask me how I know? I’ve owned them all except the S class AMG. If you have the means, AMG all day everyday and twice on Sunday. YMMV/Cheers, B
