The task is still at hand, but you manage to inspire and uplift all observers. I am proud of you because of the values you continue to uphold. Australia, like America, is a long way from the front. But your insights and briefings bring it home. You also manage to drag a tear from my eye with the emotion and personal glimpses of families at war. Russia has propaganda and we have Jake.   24. The small blobs of farm land taken is a buffer that allows artillery to get closer to Russian positions than they could before. You can’t put them right at the front so every meter of land taken means artillery and drone operators can be positioned closer. It puts Russian defence lines and supplies closer to the drone origin points. More over, the distance offensive forces need to cover in subsequent attacks is reduced.

  26. About Poland; I travelled to Poland during the first week of the invasion, delivering a load of support goods for the Ukrainian refugees. I delivered them in a small town on the Ukraine border, where scores of Polish volunteers were running a collection centre. 'Running' is the correct word, they were exhausted, but still literally running to receive people like me, collect, sort, store and send on the goods they received. For the Polish people it is not just their government supporting Ukraine, it is personal, a personal sacrifice of time, energy, creativity ... for me it was a lesson in humility and respect. I don't think any nation is standing with Ukraine like the Polish people are.

I remember Russia celebrating Trump winning in 2016 and I had thought - now they will go full in. It took them some time though, but I'm sure they were counting on the second term. Please keep America sane! For not only the puppets like RFK will leave Ukraine little chance to survive, they would also do as much harm to the US as Kremlin will tell them. And as history shows everything they touch turns into...
