So much potential. We need to address the elephant in the room though. Corruption. There's a lot of it in Africa. As there's a lot of minerals in Dr Congo so lot of potential of wealth. But great idea. I hope it works out. ♥️🇨🇩

Fascinating!... and there is even more information in the comments section!... that gives hope for the future... if we survive the ''energy wars''...

I too think that electric planes are the future. Great content as usual !
4
Lets hope this will be a thing :)

Great topic. This sounds like something with a lot of potential. Thanks for the well presented info. 👍
4
Super clear and really cool topic! Thank you!

One thing that I have never heard an explanation is how the energy from a nuclear fusion is extracted onto the grid.
4
thanks for not dumbing down the science too much. too many videos on fusion seem to be more concerned with selling the idea of fusion rather than get into the gritty details of how fusion reactors actually work.
4
Interesting and great content keep it up

I have never really thought about mechanical batteries, very interesting though!

ahem... X1 - fist plane to break the sound barrier in LEVEL FLIGHT ;)

Just looked at my water bill, I am currently paying 1.54 GBP per 1 cube meter of fresh water for domestic use, which translates to 0.154 pence per liter. Taking currency exchange rate into account, it will be just under 0.2 cent. Which I think is a funny coincidence :)

This is really good quality punchy content

Been here since your first video. I'm so glad to see how much this channel has grown and the continual quality content. Cheers!

Excellent explanation. Fascinating to learn about the Titan’s systems, especially it’s location systems. Thank you.

Higher voltage is the answer. Go up to 1kV, much lower current and therefore heat.

Just a comment for the algorithm

VERY WELL DONE , KUDOS to you and your quality research with clearly presented info ! ---- I'm looking forward to your future work, --- a BIG THUMBS UP for this offering ! --- from Canada J.

Their Gen1 is basically as good as a standard Lithium Ion battery in gravimetric, volumetric, and economic energy density, but it seems like they already know ways to improve their system significantly. If they can make gen 2 even half as good as promised, that would be an absolute gamechanger.

Once again, great video! Do you have Twitter? If you want to I'd love to have a chat and talk about YouTube. Let me know!

Great video, waiting for more

Good work kiddo! :) I'm 80 years ion this planet and what I'm REALLY sick of is discount advertising, well, advertising in general. May I suggest a little more enthusiasm in your presentation? You look like a very bright young man, and I'm sure some smiles would help you develop a following. Take care with jokes though that can so very easily fall flat and ruin a great performance. OK, that's my 20% off, :) Cheers and keep it up!

Madness - thanks for another cool video!

I have an Aptera on order but I'd never say it had infinite range as it would come to a stop after about 400 miles if not charged; and while it is true I may not have to charge it in sunny climes and still drive perhaps a commute modest commute distance that is still a distance of about 30 miles; if I want to go to visit another town after work; I will need to charge up. Anyway; they do have a couple actual cars so they ought to be able to determine actual drive distances.

love the vids😇

Ziroth, for a nearly always active boat, 20% fuel saving is an astronomical amount of money. For just 28 days at sea, a large container vessel burns approx 210~ tons of fuel, per day, resulting in a round trip cost of (if fuel is roughly $550/ton) roughly 3.2~3.3 million dollars. Twenty percent of that is 600~700 thousand dollars saved. IN ONE TRIP. These vessels work year round!

It's a reverse Dyson, genius idea.

Congrats on 30k

Maybe this technology could help tuneling as well. For subways, water distribution channels and so on.

Hi love the vid! But a little more research would be appreciated. Especially in the last part about 'aerofoils'. 'Aerofoils' are actually sails (look at sailboats pls!). You missed a lot of points there! You also attributed the loss in efficiency there to causes that aren't at all the cause of the loss in efficiency there! If you want me to go into more detail then ask me or you can just look some of these things up Btw for the youtube algorithm the video needs to be between 10-15 minutes. But again love the vid! Hope I have given you some constructive (!) feedback! Stef from Belgium (a sailor :) )

Very impressive!

You should leave a few seconds at the end after video suggestion. It always ends before I could click your next vid. Thx, awsome work. I sub and share :)

wow, I didn't know he's that handsome ;)

Looking at the graph ,New Zealand is in zone 4. Although some parts of the country get more sunshine hours than others,we get good sun even in winter, and plenty of U.V on cloudy days.Given our power supply is 240V should charge in no time.Only question;when will we get the Aptera here? Right hand drive/compliance issues? This vehicle would serve most journeys (for 2).A larger vehicle can be used to carry more people or loads /towing. A price of U.S $25,900 is about $44,500 here.(plus freight?)

From the Aptera FAQ: We will not know Aptera's actual rating until we pass a production vehicle through the full safety test. But we are designing to exceed all passenger car standards and the previous version had the highest roof crush strength of all passenger cars on the road, it performed exceedingly well in actual side and frontal crash tests. Aptera features a Formula One-inspired safety cell with advanced composites and metal structures for impact strength. Similar to aerospace and racing, these energy-absorbing methods are a core part of our safety strategy and have proven effective time and time again in high speed impacts.

Jeremy Clarkson's rule at its best: it only needs more power!

You should cover Minesto - and read up on their story.

Very good video, thanks!

I know this video is incredibly well made and simplified for the average Joe, but I still feel like my brain doesn't know what to do with this much information. I hope I'm not the only one.

what if it had 2 air intakes, one in the house, one out of it? then it could open or close the valves to create air flow. this seems like a useful was to reduce the power used by non temperature regulated ventilation systems
3
I seen something like this a few years ago, good to see its come along way.
3
You should do a video on the Otto Celera, they say they have already done 31 flights with it.
3
I wonder if putting it on a swivel could work ?
3
Theory guides but experiment decides. I'll take an empirically derived formula over mathematical modelling any day.
3
Great info 👍 I could see it for my house, but not my car. Cheers

Nice vid dude. Looks like that first class degree at Exeter really set you up for success!
